Candor is defined as the quality of being open, honest, and sincere.  In healthcare, CANDOR stands for Communication and Optimal Resolution, an approach that includes transparency and support following patient harm events. This course is a 3 module program covering Communication and Optimal Resolution (CANDOR), the Seven Pillars process and principles that provide a framework for implementing CANDOR, and a CANDOR case to illustrate the process.  Additionally, we introduce the Situation Management Team (SMT) and Care for the Caregiver in the program.
