This course provides an overview of the Colorado Candor Act, passed during the 2019 state legislative session, which establishes a voluntary framework for health care providers and facilities to offer compassionate and timely responses to patients who experience an adverse health care incident. The process allows for open discussions with patients and their families while offering legal protections that encourage providers to participate.
